11am | India 4/311 (83) | Rohit Sharma 26* (34) | Ajinkya Rahane 75 (122)
It was India’s day here yesterday, there’s no doubt about that, but can they finish the job that they’ve started so well?
We’ll find out soon. Good morning everyone. Welcome to the GABBA, where afternoon storms are predicted, and it’ll be very hot once more.
Australia have got the second new ball in hand, after only using it for three overs last night… the over rate was very, very slow, but that was due to the hot conditions for one, but also some difficulties for the Australian bowlers… Josh Hazlewood is expected to bowl, Mitchell’s Johnson and Starc will bowl, but Mithell Marsh won’t, after injuring his hamstring yesterday.
It’s 4/311. Sharma and Rahane will resume for India, and they’ll face Mitchell Starc first up, and in the Commentary Box are Ian Healy, Ian Chappell and Mark Taylor!

The last of the recognised Batsmen are at the wicket now for India… if Australia can get a wicket soon, one feels they may knock over the tail before Lunch.
To tell you more about it, James Brayshaw, Mark Taylor and Ian Healy!
12:38pm | GOT HIM!!!
Ravi Ashwin has to go, and Australia are into the tail, and with any luck, they’ll rip through it before lunch!

1:50pm | Good afternoon everybody. Welcome back to the GABBA, where the Australian openers have made their way to the middle, after a magnificent morning session, where India were bowled out for 408.
David Warner and Chris Rogers are ready to fire… Ishant Sharma has the new ball, and Ian Chappell, James Brayshaw and Ian Healy are in the commentary box!
2:20pm | Australia 0/33 (7) | Chris Rogers 7* (21) | David Warner 24* (23)
It’s been a fine start from the Aussie openers. David Warner is leaving Chris Rogers behind, just like he did in Adelaide, and the run rate is excellent.
To tell you more about it, Shane Warne, Michael Slater and Mark Taylor!
2:32pm | GONE!!! BIG WICKET!!! THE POCKET ROCKET HAS TOP-EDGED ONE, AND HE IS ON HIS WAY!
Shane Watson will be the new man in, but that’s a big confidence boost to India, and a big blow to Australia… it’s 1/47!

Rogers | c Dhoni, b Yadav | 55 (79) | FOW 3/121 (24.5)
So, India go in with a spring in their step.
Australia have set a cracking pace, but three are back in the shed, which could be costly.
This is a great test match we’ve got going here. Another cracking session to come, but when the rain will hit is the great unknown.
More from the GABBA at 4:10pm AEDST!
4:45pm | Australia 3/148 (34.2) | Shaun Marsh 10* (30) | Steven Smith 22* (42)
Australia have started the evening session solidly here at the GABBA. Both Steven Smith and Shaun Marsh are settling nicely.
Can they go on with it?
To find out, here are Shane Warne, Mark Nicholas and Mark Taylor!
6:04pm | STUMPS – DAY 2
India 408 (109.4) | Australia 4/221 (52) | Mitchell Marsh 7* (22) | Steven Smith 65* (88)
Hello again from the GABBA, where we have one hell of a test match on our hands, especially if the Indian can pick up a wicket early on the third day.
Day 2 ended early, as bad light stopped play, so we’ve lost a few more overs, after losing 7 on day one.
Steven Smith is going along nicely… he has 65 already, off only 88 balls.
In that final session, the only man to be dismissed was Shaun Marsh, and it was interesting, because he was dropped on 32, but it didn’t cost India anything, as they were able to get him before he made any further impact on the scoreboard.
Shaun Marsh | c Ashwin, b Yadav | 32 (70) | FOW 4/208 (46.5)
At the moment, it’s all to play for really… India will think they’re half a chance at a first innings lead, whereas Australia know they’ve still got some handy batsmen in the shed, with Haddin, Johnson and even Starc still to come.
We remind you that Australia haven’t lost a test here since 1988-89, so history is with them.
3 days to go, in what is turning out to be a very interesting 2nd test.
For the moment, from the GABBA, it’s goodbye!
