#B12hr | Good Morning. Nice to have your company wherever you’re tuning in right around Australia and the World… Welcome to Mount Panorama, Bathurst, for the 2015 Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour.
It’s such an open form guide here… we have 8 different manufacturers in the top 10 on this grid… and five in the top five alone.
Laurens Vanthoor, in the #15 Class A Audi, set the mountain alight yesterday, with a 2:02.5521, to take POLE position, and the Alan Simonsen Trophy.
It’s an amazing atmosphere here this morning… a staggering amount of people already through the turnstiles, as the growth and popularity of this event continues to rise.

Unfortunately, we lost the defending champion, the Maranello Ferrari on Friday morning, when Tony D’Alberto was involved in a HUGE shunt on the mountain.
That entry, with Ben Collins and Mika Salo also at the helm was forced to withdraw from the event, which has thrown the form guide even further wide open… anyone of 10-12 cars could win this thing.
We’re starting in the dark… it’s a spectacular sight here on Mount Panorama, as we join your commentators for the long day ahead… In the pit-lane, Shea Adam and Mark Beretta and in the Commentary Box, Graham Goodwin, Richard Craill, and the voice of sportscar racing, John Hindhaugh!
7am | Hour 1 update.
The pole-sitting Audi, with Markus Winkelhock at the helm, has lead all the way here, in the opening hour of the 2015 12 Hour…
We’ve had 1 safety car interruption, following the retirement of the #42 Anthony Gilbertson/Jason Clements/Karl Begg BMW E46 M3 GTR, after Gilbertson collided with a Kangaroo on Conrod Straight.
11 Hours to go… stick with us!
8:50am AEDST | We’re 1/4 of the way through this race. 3 SC, but we’ve had nearly an hour of solid, green flag running, which has seen the field spread out, and the men separated from the boys!
This is the running order… only 10 cars on the lead lap, but we’re excited for what’s to come in the next nine hours… this is shaping up to be a cracking motor race!
