No Significant Changes, As Dorna And The FIM Confirm An 18-Round MotoGP Calendar for 2015.

The 2015 MotoGP World Championship will be contested over 18 rounds, with all Grand Prix of 2014 being retained for 2015.

The British Grand Prix will again be held at Silverstone, after Donington Park pulled out of the running to host the event, due to financial problems, in February.

Donington was due to host the Grand Prix for 2015, ahead a move to Wales in 2016, but after they pulled out, Silverstone management confirmed that their circuit would host the series for 2015 and 2016.

As is tradition, the seasons opening and closing events remain the same, with Qatar playing host to the opening round of the season for the ninth year in succession, and the season will again end at Valencia in Spain.

The 2015 Moto2 and Moto3 Championships will also be held over 18 rounds, in conjunction with MotoGP.

The Red Bull Rookies Cup will support the series at most European rounds, with the new Asia Cup supporting the Japanese and Malaysian events.

The season commences one week later than it did in 2014.
